Buying Tickets

Membership is required

Under British Columbia law, film societies may only show films to members, and members must be 18 years of age or over. You will be asked to show your membership card at the door.

Ticket Prices

  • Regular Members: $10 per film
  • Sustaining Members: one ticket per film is included in membership.

Advance Tickets

  • Available online until 24 hours before the screening
  • Recommended, especially for Gibsons which is often near capacity
  • Ticket holders must arrive at least 10 minutes before the screening to be guaranteed a seat. Unfilled seats will be made available to other members.
  • Tickets do not need to be printed. You will be checked off a list of registrants at the theatre.

At the Door Tickets

Remaining tickets will be available for sale at the door (cash, debit/credit card). Free for Sustaining members.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend, contact membership@scfs.ca so we can make that seat available to other members.

We are not set up to issue refunds but can switch your ticket to another screening.

How to Buy Advance Tickets

    1. Sign in to our website using the Sign In button at the top of the right-hand column.
    2. At the top of the page click Films and then Upcoming Films. Click the title of the film you want.
    3. At the bottom of the film listing, click the button for Gibsons or Sechelt. (If you aren’t yet logged in, the sytem will prompt you to log in.)
    4. Click the Buy Ticket button.
    5. Quantity: choose 1 or 2. (NOTE: The person using the second ticket must have the same type of membership as you (regular or sustaining) and show their membership card at the theatre.)
    6. Enter your credit card information and click Buy Ticket. (Sustaining Members do not pay. Just click Buy Ticket.)
    7. You should receive a confirmation email. If you don’t get the email, check your Junk/Spam/Bulk email folder.
    8. The confirmation does not need to be printed. There will be a list of registrants at the theatre.
    9. Remember to bring your membership card and arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the film!
