"That’s right: The extreme South Korean director of Oldboy and Stoker has made a love story, one where the lovers aren’t related or vampires or anything!” — A.A. Dowd, AV Club

In Japanese occupied 1930’s Korea, a new girl is hired as a handmaiden to a Japanese heiress who lives a secluded life with her domineering uncle. But the maid has a secret. She is a pickpocket recruited by a swindler posing as a Japanese Count.
