Grandma

USA 2015, 79 min, comedy.
Director: Paul Weitz.

Photo still from 'Grandma'

"In clumsier hands, this hugely enjoyable comedy drama would have been called Bad Grandma and would have focused entirely on its titular heroine having more tattoos, smoking more drugs, getting into more fights...” — Mark Kermode, The Guardian

A pregnant teenager, needing $600 by sundown, seeks help from her eccentric and acerbic grandmother (Lily Tomlin). Grandma herself has just broken up with her girlfriend and is estranged from her daughter. The two set off across Los Angeles, hitting on old friends and lovers in their quest for the cash—a hilarious and heartbreaking journey that stirs up secrets from the past.
