The Dinner Game

Belgium, 1998, 82min, comedy. French with English subtitles.
Director: Francis Verber

Still from 'The Dinner Game'

This triple-César-award-winning comedy pits Pierre — who, with his judgmental friends, holds a weekly dinner party in which they mock the dumbest guests they can find — against Pignon, a candidate he expects will steal the show. Of course the evening does not unfold as planned. Strong performances enable this successful transfer from the stage to film, a huge success in France.
